The township of Naseby in the Maniototo, Central Otago has become the country’s curling capital with the completion of New Zealand’s first international and Olympic standard indoor curling rink. Curling is a sport enjoyed by both sexes and all ages. Those with disabilities can also partake in this ancient game.

We provide all nescessary curling and safety equipment. You need to provide very warm clothing and clean, flat soled shoes

With four games able to be played simultaneously on the indoor rink, and a combined conference facility, lounge bar, and viewing area upstairs, everyone is sure to enjoy themselves. So visit the Indoor Curling Rink and check out “Have A Go” to be part of the legacy that is curling.

The ancient Scottish game of curling has been a central feature of the Maniototo since the late 1870’s, the first reported game 6 July 1878. Long cold winters made work difficult andCurling provided a way to pass the time. The traditions and etiquette of curling which were diligently observed have become part of the folklore of Central Otago.

Open all year round, 7 days a week from 10am till 5pm. Evening curling is also available by prior arrangement. Bookings recommended to avoid disappointment.

Location: Naseby is located 15kms from Ranfurly. Upon entering Naseby complete a 180 degree turn to your right at the first intersection. The rink is located 500m along this road. (1057 Channel Rd)
