Ettrick

Ettrick is located between Millers Flat and Roxburgh on State Highway 8 and lies on the Clutha RiverEttrick was founded by Scottish settlers during the Central Otago goldrush in the 1860s, and named after the Ettrick Valley in the Scotland.

 Ettrick was one of the first places in New Zealand where settlers started to grow apples and there are still several orchards with apples the main crop.
