Welcome to Burn Cottage Retreat A lush oasis of park-like woodland gardens, shady trees and spacious lawns, surrounded by typical Otago landscape.
Burn Cottage Retreat offers guests the choice of three luxury self contained cottages in a tranquil rural setting, 3km from Cromwell and Lake Dunstan; the heart of Central Otago. Rascal, Moonlight and Celebration Cottages are purpose built to the highest standards and designed specifically for couples to relax and enjoy a romantic getaway. These secluded cottages nestle amidst a walnut grove, surrounded by beautiful woodland, hosta and tussock gardens.

. At Burn Cottage Retreat, our focus is on guest comfort, peaceful relaxation and genuine warm kiwi hospitality. You might enjoy relaxing in your cottage watching DVDs, reading, or wandering about our 24 acres with our pet sheep grazing nearby, admiring the birdlife in the gardens and streams, or perhaps a glass of wine or a coffee on the deck under the star-studded night skies is more your thing.
We have mountain bikes available for guests to use, as well as a guest laundry, guest vegetable garden and orchard and each cottage enjoys fresh walnuts from our trees.

We are well situated for easy day trips to Wanaka, Arrowtown and Queenstown, the Central Otago Rail Trail or the vast number of vineyards, orchards, cafes and restaurants Cromwell has to offer. Several of the local restaurants offer courtesy coaches.
To fully appreciate our stunning cottages, the region and the local activities available, we recommend a minimum two night stay.

We are 1.7km along the road. Our gateway is on the right hand side of the road - look for the "Burn Cottage Retreat" sign and the post people standing guard at the front gate! |
