AURUM WINES
Aurum Wines was established by Joan and Tony Lawrence
in 2002 to produce premium Central Otago wines.

WINES: GRAPES
Premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Riesling are grown on Aurum’s two vineyards.

The 45th Parallel Vineyard
(5½ ha. planted) situated on fluvial glacial terraces below the Pisa Range
at Lowburn was planted in 1997 and 1998.

Te Wairere Vineyard
2 km from Cromwell was planted in 2001.

From 2006 all AURUM WINES are made from Estate-grown grapes in our AURUM WINERY.

AURUM EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Olives are Tuscan varieties, mainly Frantoio.
Olives from our 45th Parallel grove and a grove at Bannockburn were hand harvested in July.
The oil has highly concentrated flavours with a peppery finish.

CENTRAL OTAGO
Central Otago, New Zealand, is an area renowned for its dramatic mountain and lake scenery.
It has quickly established itself as a premium cool climate wine growing district.
The climate is continental with hot summer days and cool summer nights -
perfect for creating intense juice flavours while mantaining strong acid structure.

Aurum Wines' two vineyards are located on the 45th Parallel and are some of the world's most
southerly vineyards. Soils are silt loams sitting on 25-35 metres of gravels.

The shop and tasting facility is open 10am to 5pm daily.
